I’ve always loved the Glossier and Acne Studios baby pink color scheme but could never pull it off. When I see myself in pink, I feel like an easter egg. One time, I was Blossom from The Powerpuff Girls, (a look I totally dig) but 12 years later I just can’t pull that look off anymore. I’ve been vibing pink so hard lately that my loved ones think I’m having a pre-quarter life crisis. I’ve confronted this unfamiliar part of myself and come to accept it. Right now, I’m thinking pink and what better time than the present, ammiright ladies. It’s February and your social media feeds are probably filled with Cupid and candy hearts but raise your hand if your celebrating Galentine’s this year. You know how the Scandinavian’s make pink look cool and androgynous and unlike a La Durée macaroon? Yeah, this post is influenced by that.
And you know Pretty in Pink? Well, I identify most with Duckie. He’s one of my style icons and I aspire to be like him always. The Paul Smith pink wall? Yeah, I took a picture there once and it felt like some sort of rite of passage – like yeah, you’re officially from LA. I wish it was black or blue or something.
Anyways, here are the pictures I’ve screenshotted and made a specific inspo album on my phone for:
