It Cosmetics CC Cream and Celebration Foundation: I wrote a full rave review on the CC cream here, but if you’re too lazy to read why you absolutely need, here’s the link to order ASAP. Express ship this, stat. The Celebration Foundation is a powder formula that also performs as a setting powder. Medium to full coverage without a powder finish, this compact holds the most natural looking powder I’ve been lucky to grace my skin with. It leaves your skin matte, but absolutely radiant. I’m not sure how, but it mimics the ideal natural texture of skin. If you have uneven texture like me, or suffer from dry patches, apply this powder to have the skin of Michelangelo’s angels. Order this too, while you’re at it send me a thank you card.
Bite Beauty Honeyberry: This is Mac Velvet Teddy’s older, wiser sister. A deeper, richer hue of peachy brown nude, a creamier, this chubby pencil is made from food grade ingredients, making it safe to ingest. Women consume 3-6 pounds of lipstick in their lifetime, aka eating scary chemicals that eff with hormones, endocrines, blah blah blah. I’m not going to stop wearing Velvet Teddy (I prefer to live on the edge) but having a safe alternative is hella cool. Does having crushed fruit pigments on my lips count towards my daily 4-6 servings because that would be even cooler. @Bitebeauty make a lipstick enriched with supplements please.
Bumble and Bumble Surf Infusion: I can get really lazy when it comes to styling my hair. I had a phase where I wore it straight and parted in the middle, back when I dyed it a blue black color. I’ve let the dye completely fade and now I’m back to my natural ultra dark warm red-brown, which I despise, and have no idea what to do with it. After rummaging through my stash I rekindled my love for this small blue bottle. While I figure out what I’m going to do with the mop on my head, I oversaturate my hair with this (when wet) and let it do its thing. It’s super low maintenance but the combo of texturizing sea salt and hydrating oils do a thing to my hair that I kinda like.
Bobbi Brown Bronzer: Ok so this isn’t an actual favorite because it’s too warm and quite frankly not Nars Laguna, but I bought it and I’m going to use it. I prefer to use it as a blush and eyeshadow and appreciate it’s orangey-warmth this way. On the apples of my cheeks it adds a warm, dark peach flush and acts like a sculpting blush, making my cheeks pop. Also used as a warm transition shade into my crease gives my eyes a stronger almond shape. Smoked out on my bottom lash line gives off Courtney Love vibes and I’m about that, too.
Kiehl’s Moisturizer: Saved the best for last, this is my most favorite favorite (more than the CC cream). I now get it. I get why Kim K uses it, all the Brit Youtubers love it, and when Lauren Elizabeth included it in her skincare routine, I finally bought it. I wish I did so 5 years ago when this broke the blogosphere #majorragrets. I don’t believe in miracles, but this is damn close. I’ll go deeper into this when I write my skincare routine post, but for people with combo skin, texture issues and acne, run don’t walk to your nearest Kiehl’s store/counter. It’s hydrating without being heavy, calming without being too potent, and suitable for all weather conditions (don’t recommend for subzero arctic climates though lol).
