I’ve been living in Canada for almost 12 years and I still don’t own a winter jacket. I simply refuse. Maybe it’s my inner Cali girl that denies to succumb to the shallow colds of the winter, but I’m not spending a dime on a puff jacket that’ll make me look like a Peeps marshmallow. I wish I was a hot ski bunny that “hit the slopes” but I’d rather do any other outdoor activity as long as it doesn’t involve snow. The only time snow is allowed is when there’s enough to get school cancelled. There’s no in-between. This -14 degree weather has me dreaming of summer and all the potential outfits I could be wearing.
While i love a good chunky turtle neck, I can’t wait to wear flowy blouses and cut-off shorts. I know you’re dying to take out your One Teaspoon Bandits, hang in there girl. A bralette and beach waves sound pretty nice right about now too. Adding a western belt which matches that Balenciaga Fall 2015 mini city bag in beige fauve suede that you’re (well I am at least) still lusting over is so James Dean. And who said you can’t wear last season next season? Do yourself a favor and break those stupid fashion rules.
If you know me personally, then you know I’m that jerk who wear sunglasses on the bus, subway, indoors, during lecture etc. To me, they’re a year round staple. They help me block out the haters and fall asleep during 3+ hour lectures. (I’m not really selling myself right now, I swear I’m a good, studious person). The Celine Small Catherine’s have a black to tortoise shell ombre frame that’s totally Mick Jagger-meets-Kim K and I’m vibin.
I’d rock a pair of booties over sandals any day, and the summer is no exception. Leopard print is a neutral, and these Senso booties have a flattering ankle cutout that elongate the legs and get rid of bulk.
Some bronzer for a glowy complexion and green juice add to the Coachella vibes.
Hope the winter blues have you snuggled up on the couch with some hot coco and Netflix. Who am I kidding, enjoy the slushy streets and be careful on the ice laden sidewalks.
